START WHERE YOU ARE

What feels most like today?

A nervous system does not read diagnostic manuals, it just tells you how it is feeling. Start with whichever sentence made you quietly think, yeah, that one.

I'm exhausted but my body won't settle.

Your body may be stuck in a high activation state. When your nervous system stays on for long enough, rest can feel impossible even when you are running on empty. The racing mind, the tight shoulders, the tired-but-wired feeling, they are all the same alarm that has not switched off yet.

Being around people left me completely drained.

That worn-out, foggy feeling after socializing has a name, a social hangover. Maybe the lights and noise were too much, maybe you carried home everyone else's moods, or maybe you were performing all night and the mask got heavy. Different drains, same crash.

Everything feels far away. I'm here, but not really here.

When stress goes on long enough, the body can drop into a freeze response and power down to protect you. The numbness, the fog, the heaviness, that is what shutdown feels like from the inside. Pushing yourself does not work here, but gentle does.

Everything feels like too much right now.

Some days it is not one thing, it is several at once, or it keeps changing. The Somatic Handbook is the broad reference for days like this, thirty body-based practices organized by state, so whatever your system is doing, there is a page for it.

I don't know what's happening. I just don't feel like myself.

That counts too, and it is more common than you would think. You do not need a name for it to start. The free guide walks you through five simple body-based exercises, a gentle way to learn what your nervous system responds to.
